The Ethereum Network is experiencing extreme blockage once more, it appears the spam strikes are back! The spam was a result of thousands of deals from numerous ERC20 smart contract which shows up to have no projects. These mystical project-less wise contracts have been spamming the Ethereum network with aimless deals. Vitalik Buterin, the creator of Ethereum tweeted earlier today claiming that the approximated cost of the recent purchase spam was around $15 million.
An Ethereum developer alleged that EOS was behind the ETH network spamming. According to the developer, EOS performed a series of token “Airdrops” resulting in sky-high gas prices. The developer, Justo implicated EOS of purposefully attacking the Ethereum network.

In an interview with TrustNodes, Justo claimed,
” Everyday up till the launch of the EOS platform, which was June 6th, gas rates enhanced because of “Airdrop” symbols. Thousands of arbitrary tokens, with no internet site, or bootstrapped template websites made in hours. Squandering numerous ethereum daily, numerous countless dollars to drop symbols. This happened up until the launch of EOS, on the Sixth, then right away quit. In eventually, gas costs dropped back to regular.”
Dan Larimer, the CTO of Block. One replied to the complaint stating EOS had no part in manipulating gas costs. He took to Telegram to shoot down the accusations and also claimed,
” I could ensure you block one would not be so dumb to spend our sources assaulting eth when all it takes is crypto cats. There are far smarter as well as a lot more affordable means at bringing eth down if that were the goal.” The declaration was shared on Reddit. It is to be kept in mind that EOS shut the week on a high and the prices rose by almost 5 percent in the last 24-HOUR.”
Yet despite their participation, the purchase spam has cost the ETH network quite a great deal of cash. Inning Accordance With Vitalik Buterin’s tweet, he estimates it’s around $15 million. He further clarifies on the expense sustained with some vibrant equivalencies. Inning accordance with him, the price of the spam amounted 5 million environment-friendly teas or 75 Lamborghinis or 25 Coinbase seed rounds. Finally, he contrasts the total up to 0.9% of Telegram’s ICO.
According to my estimates, the recent tx spam on the ETH network cost up to ~$15m USD (~= 5m green teas, ~75 lambos, ~25 Coinbase seed rounds, ~0.9% of Telegram ICO)
Free market principles prevent me from being too upset at someone using the ETH blockchain as they wish, but wow.

The Ethereum co creator’s tweet does not speculate on “that” or “why.” But the globe of crypto being a pseudonymous one suggests the “that” as well as “why” will certainly continue to be unidentified. At the very least for some time, or till somebody admits or some kind of OpSec fault.
